“You have just the right touch to generate (John's) spark for this sport. He has slept with the broken boards under his pillow and told ALL his friends and teacher about his new Taekwondo school. Just wanted to say, Thanks!”

Martial arts truly is great for all children: shy kids become more assertive; hyperactive kids can channel their energy; and all children gain from the focus, discipline, and exercise. Studies also show that children who train in Tae Kwon Do tend to be more non-violent and become better students in school. Children may start martial arts as early as 3½ years old in our Little Tigers program specifically focused on developing skills in coordination, flexibility, self-defense, weapons, and safe ways to fall and roll.
Children 5 years old and older can begin in the Children’s Beginner class, covering the fundamentals of martial arts in a fun and safe environment. Children will immediately begin to build confidence from their achievements in class and practice respect, listening, discipline, and following directions. As part of the curriculum, all students must recite and memorize our motto, the Student Creed:
Student Creed
"To build true confidence through knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart, and strength in the body. To keep friendships with one another and to build a strong community. Never fight to achieve selfish ends, but to develop might for right."
And as martial arts is highly recommended for ADD, ADHD, and Autism, Martial Arts Center is a qualified vendor for the Westside Regional Center and is knowledgeable in handling those with special needs.
